The Birth of Monstie

MONSTIE
(short for Monster PC)
Birthday: 21st Jan'09
Birth Place: HSG Media

Created by Elliot Koh
Financed by HSG

20th Jan'09 (Tues)
After confirming Monstie's final configuration with Boss Tan,
a special trip was made to the birth place of most PCs in Malaysia,
Lowyat Plaza.

Monstie is a really special PC... hence unlike most PC,
it was personally assembled by its creator

After 4 hours and 3 pairs of super sore-feet,
monstie's organs were purchased

(Monstie's body part pictures will be uploaded later : paiseh, it's in another camera)

Monstie's Motherboard
*I honestly think that the motherboard
 looked like a mini city...

See properly ah..
You can see schools, factories, housing area,
police stations, power station, etc...

Look under a microscope...
you'll probably see cars and humans moving..
Can See or not??

If the motherboard is the city..
I would assume that this is the POWER house?

Empty casing of Monstie
According to Elliot...
It was once every PC creator's dream PC casing.
and now it's Monstie's!

Lessons Learnt from Monstie's Birth
For some reason, watching Elliot configure and assemble the PC
reminds me of the scripture in Pslams 139:13-14

"For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well."

Getting a PC as how it is.. and creating it...
has a total different feeling altogether.
That's probably why we humans can't
comprehend how special we are to God...

However, through this experience..
I guess there is an increase of understanding of 0.00001%
to what it means to be "fearfully and wonderfully made.."

1. Fearfully Made
Even as Elliot configure, I could hear him constantly
him going through the possibilities that it will be truly functional
and when all parts were placed together, would they be able to work together as one

"eh.. this cannot.. " then he start sourcing for another option

Fearfully made: God made sure all our parts work: even our emotions

2. Wonderfully Made
Monstie is a  Media PC & a Server.
It was meant super duper fast when rendering videos
and keep all soft copy of files and documents safely.

It was configured to function its best in achieving those functions.
It is not a gaming PC, a normal desktop PC.. or a sole devoted server PC.
It's unique as what it is..

There is an "AWE" feeling when I looked at Monstie..

Wonderfully Made: unique, non other than you,
everyone of us is configured to reach a specific dream and purpose

3. God knows everything there is about YOU!

Since I wanted to post about Monstie.. I asked Elliot to list down the specification of Monstie.
And it took him less than 1 minute to list down everything...

It has 3200GB Space,
8GB 800Mhz ram,
an overclocked Quad core processor at 2.8Ghz,
Gigabyte Ultra Durable 3 P45 motherboard,
Creative Audigy Sound Card,
CM 690 chasis (casing)
Logitech G1 gaming keyboard & mouse
Xigmatek Red Scorpion CPU cooling
ATI Radeon HD4670 512MB DDR4 graphic card
Corsair HX520 Modular power supply

Viewsonic 22" 1080p ful HD widescreen monitor
Edifier M3300 2.1 soundsystem

He knows everything it is about this PC!!!

Shi:  "WALAU, you can remember?"
Elliot: "Of course, i configured it wad? hehe"

HAHA.. don't we sound stupid when we tell God that He doesn't understand..

Pslams 139: 15-16
"My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them."

Simple things in life.. powerful lessons.

December, The Busiest yet Meaningful month of the Year

What did I do this December??
Nothing but great stuff

1. WORK
Christmas Flyers...
You would not believe the amount of flyers that are
produced for christmas.. neither do I, until I start doing it!!

It turned out good afterall.
haha at least I didn't use the same design for all the flyers,
That would be SMART though!!

I must say... designning Christmas flyers is fun...
but when you design so many in one month, it's challenging!! I'm proud of myself!!!

Trust me, next year, I'm going to get a team to do it.. at least we get more variety that way!!

2. EAT
Enjoy Real nice Christmas Dinner with Family & Friends

Don't judge the book by it's cover!!!
You probably can't tell much by looking by it.
But it's actually salad... but not the average salad
It's covered with smoked SALMON!!

Then of course... how can we missed having Turkey..!!
This has gotta be the best Turkey I have tasted so far.. and the most expensive one as well!!
Thanks mum and Wilson for ordering it!!

Because I thoroughly enjoyed it!!

And there was... this dish that my sister cooks that will make me crave for it for the entire whole year until she makes another dish of it..
Ze BACON!! (yes, I've learnt.. it's not ham)

And the dessert... came along with the turkey.
It was so cute... that we decided to play with it first...

Ah Wai pretending to terrorize Santa Village

My dear sister, the hungry monster...
